Questions before you book

How much does the discovery call cost?

Nothing. The conversations are free and there's no obligation to buy anything afterwards.

How long will it take?

The intro call takes around 15 minutes. If there’s a good fit, your session with Joe lasts around 30 minutes. We keep both focused on your current position, immediate concerns and priorities.

Do you replace our IT provider?

No. Most businesses we speak to already have an IT provider, in-house IT or both. We focus on security and work alongside them, with a clear split of who does what: we monitor and respond to threats; they keep running your day-to-day IT.

We already have security tools. Is this still worth it?

Yes. We'll look at what you already have, including tools like Mimecast, SentinelOne, Huntress or ESET, and tell you what's working, what overlaps with Microsoft 365, and what's missing.

Do we need Microsoft 365 Business Premium?

We'll tell you which licence you're on, what security it already includes, and whether upgrading would pay for itself by replacing tools you pay for separately.

Will I be pitched to?

No sales deck is involved. The intro call is there to understand what is happening in your business and whether a session with Joe would be useful. If it is, that session focuses on your priorities and the right next step for you, not on our services.

What happens after the call?

We’ll send you a short written summary within two working days. If there is a clear area where Backbone can help, we may recommend a more detailed assessment or specialist follow-up. You are under no obligation to proceed.

Will I need to share sensitive information?

No. We do not need passwords, confidential documents or access to your systems during either call. Please avoid sharing credentials or highly sensitive information. If a later technical assessment requires access or data sharing, the scope and appropriate safeguards should be agreed separately.
